TROSA Turkey Trot Race Details

We are looking forward to a fun Thanksgiving Day morning! Our race starts at 8AM and the route will start and end at TROSA's campus at 1820 James Street in Durham. See below for race details. A link to the race course is below. Our street sequence is:

Left on Lakewood
Right on Chapel Hill Rd
Left on Morehead Ave
Left on Anderson St
Left on Chapel Hill Rd
Right on Ward St
Right on James St to Finish

November 26 Pre-Race Packet Pickup (Day before Thanksgiving)

Pickup Time: 2:30PM - 5:30PM

November 27 Race Day Packet Pickup (Thanksgiving Day)

TROSA; 1820 James Street, Durham, NC 27707
Pickup Time: 6:30AM - 7:45AM

Race Day

Our race is rain or shine! We cannot allow unregistered walk-ups or registration transfers. There are no refunds.

Parking: We will have very limited designated parking at parking lots near the TROSA campus. Parking will be at M&F Corporate Center (2634 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd #101, Durham, NC 27707) and the lot at Foster's Market.

M&F, Foster's Market, TROSA, and Bull City Running Co. are not responsible for your vehicles at any time. Parking is at your own risk. You may also find on-street parking in the areas around the parking lots and around James Street. Please do not drive to TROSA's campus (1820 James St), you will be asked to turn around.

Shuttle:

There will be a limited run shuttle available for those who need it just prior to the race's start. The shuttle will leave from and return to the M&F Corporate Center and is projected to run on a loop from 7AM - 7:40AM. If you park at Foster's Market and want to take the shuttle, you should walk to the M&F Corporate Center.

We recommend you warm up for your race by walking to the TROSA campus! The race start/end at TROSA's campus is less than .5 mile walk from the M&F Corporate Center parking lot. TROSA's address is 1820 James Street. There will be signs.

Dogs and Strollers:

This year, we cannot allow dogs at the event. As we are increasing our numbers of participants, we want to ensure the safety and comfort of all those running, and we can only allow legal service animals. Thank you for understanding.

We can allow strollers, and encourage you to complete the race in an hour. After one hour, we may no longer have streets blocked for the event and you will have to abide by all normal pedestrian laws and cede the right of way to traffic.

Cash Prizes for Overall Winners

Cash prizes for overall winners! 1st place M & F: $150, 2nd place M & F: $100, 3rd place M & F: $75, 1st place Masters (age 40+) M & F: $100.

Bull City Running and TROSA will contact our winners the week after our race.

COVID-19 Note

In accordance with CDC guidelines, we highly recommended that all participants are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. There will not be a wave start for this event, but participants are encouraged to spread out and maintain distance.
